Story & Hour began with a simple observation. The objects we keep are rarely the most expensive ones. They are the ones that hold a date — a birth, a meeting, a first home, a promise kept. Time is the medium of memory, and a clock is its quietest instrument.

We work like a museum boutique rather than a factory. Each piece starts with a story: yours. A date that matters, a name, the sky over a particular place on a particular night. From that story we compose a design, and only when you approve it do we begin the making — one at a time.

Zhangzhou, on China's Fujian coast, is home to a remarkable clockmaking industry. It taught us that precision is a form of respect, and that walnut, brass, and ceramic carry warmth no screen can. We bring that lineage together with careful modern tools — nothing more. The story stays yours; we only keep it in time.
